Cookie Policy

Pipento only sets the cookies it needs to work, plus analytics cookies if you choose to allow them. This policy explains what each one does, how long it lasts and how to change your mind.
Pipento is run by Market Jar Limited, a company registered in England and Wales under company number 11155181, with its registered office at Suite 5, 1-2 Leonard Place, Westerham Road, Keston, Kent, BR2 6HQ. When this policy says “we” or “us”, it means Market Jar Limited trading as Pipento. It covers pipento.com and the Pipento app, and sits alongside our privacy policy, which explains how we handle personal information more broadly.
A cookie is a small text file a website saves in your browser so it can remember something about your visit, such as whether you’re signed in. Websites can also keep information in your browser’s local storage, which works in a similar way. UK law treats both the same, so this policy uses “cookies” to mean either.
Some cookies are strictly necessary, because the site or the app can’t do what you asked without them. We don’t need your permission for those. Everything else needs your permission first.
The cookies we use
Our website runs on Wix Studio, which sets the strictly necessary cookies below. Analytics cookies are only set if you allow them through the cookie banner.
Strictly necessary, always on
Cookie banner choice (Usercentrics): remembers which cookies you allowed, so we don’t ask on every page.
XSRF-TOKEN (Wix, session): protects the site against fraudulent requests.
hs (Wix, session): security.
svSession and wixSession (Wix, 12 months): security, stability and core site function.
SSR-caching (Wix, 24 hours): helps pages load quickly.
TS* (Wix, session): detects attacks on the site.
bSession (Wix, 24 hours): measures how well the platform is working.
fedops.logger.sessionId (Wix, 12 months): records errors so they can be fixed.
_wixAB3|* (Wix, 6 months): runs platform tests.
server-session-bind and client-session-bind (Wix, session): protect the site’s systems.
oAuthState (Wix, session): identifies your session when you sign in.
sec-fetch-unsupported (Wix, session): notes when a browser can’t support some security features.
Sign-in session (Pipento app, local storage, until you sign out): keeps you signed in to the Pipento app between pages and visits.
App preferences (Pipento app, local storage, until you clear your browser data): remembers settings you choose in the app, such as light or dark theme.
Analytics, only with your consent
_ga (Google, 2 years): tells visits apart so Google Analytics can count how many people use the site.
_ga_E9MZJFDNWT (Google, 2 years): keeps pages viewed in one visit counted together.
Wix Analytics (Wix): counts visits and page views for our Wix dashboard.
Ahrefs Web Analytics (Ahrefs, no cookies): counts page views without cookies or persistent identifiers. Ahrefs says it doesn’t store personal or identifiable data, including your IP address, but we still only load it once you allow analytics.
We don’t use advertising cookies, and we don’t use cookies to follow you across other websites. Wix lists the cookies it sets on its cookie page. Google may use information from Google Analytics in line with Google’s privacy policy, which is why we only turn it on with your permission.
Your choices
The first time you visit, a cookie banner asks which cookies you’re happy for us to use. You can accept them all, refuse everything that isn’t strictly necessary, or choose category by category. Nothing used for analytics loads until you agree.
You can change your mind at any time using the privacy settings button that stays in the corner of every page. If you withdraw consent, analytics stops loading from your next page view.
You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings. If you block strictly necessary cookies or local storage, the Pipento app won’t be able to keep you signed in.
Other services
Payments are handled by Stripe. When you enter card details, Stripe sets its own strictly necessary cookies to prevent fraud, under Stripe’s cookie policy. We use Google Search Console and Bing Webmaster Tools to see how pipento.com appears in search results; neither sets cookies on your device.
Changes and contact
We’ll update this page whenever we add, remove or change a cookie, and change the date at the top. If a change needs your permission, we’ll ask again.
