About this policy

Last updated: 4 November 2026

This policy explains what personal information we collect when you visit pipento.com or use Pipento, what we do with it and the choices you have. We keep it to what we need to run the service, and we don't sell personal information to anyone.

Who we are

Pipento is run by Market Jar Limited, company number 11155181, registered office Suite 5, 1-2 Leonard Place, Westerham Road, Keston, Kent, BR2 6HQ. We're the controller of the personal information described in this policy, except where we say otherwise below. For any privacy question or request, please use our contact form.

What we collect

When you sign up and use Pipento, we collect your name, email address, business name and login details, along with your plan and billing history. Your card details are handled by Stripe and never reach us.

When you contact us through the contact form, we collect your name, email address and whatever you choose to tell us.

When you visit pipento.com, we collect information about how the site is used, such as the pages you view, how you arrived and the type of device and browser you use, through the analytics cookies described below.

Information you store in Pipento

The deals, contacts and notes you add to Pipento may include personal details about the people you sell to. For that information, your business is the controller and we process it on your behalf, only to provide Pipento to you. We don't look at it except where you ask us to help with a problem or where the law requires it, and we don't use it for any other purpose.

How we use and share it

How we use your information

We use your information to provide Pipento and your account, to take payment, to send you emails about your account such as sign-up, trial and billing messages, to reply when you contact us, to understand how our website is used so we can improve it, and to meet our legal obligations.

Under UK data protection law, we rely on the contract between us to run your account and take payment, on our legitimate interest in running and improving our business for replying to messages and keeping the service secure, on your consent for analytics cookies, and on legal obligation for keeping financial records.

Who we share it with

We use a small number of trusted providers to run Pipento. Each one only processes personal information on our instructions and under a data processing agreement. Vercel hosts the Pipento app and its database. Stripe takes and manages subscription payments. Resend sends emails from pipento.com, from servers in the EU. Wix hosts the pipento.com website and its contact form. Google provides Google Analytics 4, Google Tag Manager and Google Search Console for the website.

We'll also share information if the law requires it, or if Market Jar Limited or Pipento is ever sold, in which case the buyer would have to keep it protected in the same way.

Transfers outside the UK

Some of our providers store or process information outside the UK. Where they do, we rely on the safeguards in their data processing terms, such as the UK International Data Transfer Addendum or an adequacy decision, to keep your information protected to the standard UK law requires.

Cookies

pipento.com uses a small number of cookies. Some are needed for the website to work and can't be switched off. Others come from Google Analytics 4 and Google Tag Manager and help us understand how visitors use the site, and we only set these if you agree to them in the cookie banner. You can change your choice at any time through the cookie settings, or by clearing cookies in your browser.

Your rights and how long we keep it

How long we keep it

We keep your account information for as long as you have a Pipento account. After you cancel and your paid period ends, we delete or anonymise it within a reasonable time, except for billing records, which we keep for as long as UK tax law requires. Messages sent through the contact form are kept for as long as we need them to deal with your enquiry.

Before you leave, you can export your deals and contacts as a CSV file.

Keeping it secure

We use the security features of our hosting and payment providers, including encryption in transit, and we limit access to personal information to the people who need it to run Pipento.

Your rights

Under UK data protection law, you have the right to ask for a copy of the personal information we hold about you, to have it corrected or deleted, to restrict or object to how we use it, to ask us to move it to another provider, and to withdraw your consent to analytics cookies at any time. To make a request, please use our contact form. We'll reply within one month.

If you're one of our customers' contacts and want to make a request about information a Pipento customer holds about you, please contact that business directly, and we'll help them respond.

If you're unhappy with how we've handled your information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk, although we'd appreciate the chance to put things right first.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top shows when it last changed, and if a change matters, we'll tell our customers by email.
