Importing and exporting your deals
How to bring deals and contacts in from a spreadsheet, and how to export them as a CSV.
If your pipeline lives in a spreadsheet today, you don't have to retype it. Pipento imports and exports CSV files, which any spreadsheet app can open and save.
Importing deals
In Tracker, choose Import CSV and select your file. Your deals are added to Tracker.
The easiest way to get the columns right is to export first and use that file as your template. Copy your deals into it under the matching headings, save it as a CSV and import it.

After you import
Open Tracker and check a few deals to make sure the stages, values and dates have come through as you expected. Then give every live deal a next action and a follow-up date, because a spreadsheet rarely has those and they're what make Pipento work.
Importing contacts
To bring in contacts on their own, go to Contacts and click Import CSV. This is useful for people you know but aren't selling to yet.
Exporting your deals
Choose Export CSV in Tracker to download your deals as a CSV file. It's yours to keep, open in a spreadsheet or share with your accountant. It's worth exporting a copy before you make big changes, such as a large import.
