Follow-ups and smart follow-up suggestions
How follow-up dates work, where you'll see them, and how Pipento suggests when to follow up next.
Most deals aren't lost to a competitor. They're lost because nobody followed up. Pipento is built around one simple habit: every deal has a next action and a follow-up date.
Setting a follow-up
Open a deal and look at the Next action box. Write what you'll do next, set the Follow-up date, and update Last contacted whenever you speak to them. Click Save Deal and you're done.

Smart follow-up suggestions
When you're setting a follow-up, Pipento may show a Smart Follow-up suggestion under the dates, with a suggested day. It works from your average sales cycle, so the suggestion fits how quickly your deals usually move. Click Use to accept it, or pick your own date if you know better.
Where follow-ups show up
On Tracker, the Follow-up column shows the next date for every deal, so you can scan a stage and see what's coming. On Calendar, follow-ups appear in purple on the day they're due, and the panel on the right lists today's actions and what's coming up. You can send any of them to Outlook from there.
On Pulse, deals that have gone quiet for longer than your average sales cycle appear under Needs Attention. That includes deals you've never contacted. It's the safety net for anything you've forgotten to give a date.
Logging what happened
When you follow up, log it on the deal's Activity tab, then set the next date. Doing both together takes a few seconds and keeps the deal's history complete, which matters when you pick it up again weeks later. There's more on this in email templates.
Deals that don't need a follow-up
Committed and Lost deals don't need a follow-up date, and the column shows a dash for them. If a deal isn't ready yet, move it to Future Pipeline and set a date further out, so it comes back to you at the right time.
